The short version

When you practise, your voice is streamed live to an AI speech model and turned into text. We keep the text of the conversation, the examiner’s notes and your report. We do not keep the audio. If you leave your email and answers on the form, we keep those to write to you once when the full product opens and to shape what we build. No advertising cookies. Analytics cookies only if you say OK to the cookie bar.

What we collect and why

• Your voice, live. Streamed over an encrypted connection to a speech model on Microsoft Azure (EU data zone, Sweden) so the examiner can hear and answer you. Microsoft does not train on this data and does not keep it beyond processing. We never receive or store the audio. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the practice you asked for; you can stop at any time by ending the session.
• Transcript, examiner notes, report. Stored so the report can be shown to you and, if you leave your email, linked to it. Kept for 12 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest and, once the paid product exists, our contract with you.
• Email and your answers on the form. Which exam, when, your level, what worries you, what you want. Used to send one email when the full mock opens and to decide what to build. Not shared, not sold. Legal basis: consent; withdraw by emailing us and we delete the row.
• IP address. Kept with the practice record to limit free practices per day and to stop abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Usage statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies or personal identifiers. Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) shows us which pages and buttons get used; it sets cookies only after you choose OK in the cookie bar, otherwise it sends anonymous pings without cookies. You can change your mind by clearing the site data in your browser. Legal basis: consent for cookies, legitimate interest for the cookieless counts.

Where it is processed

Our servers run on Cloudflare (EU and UK data centres). The speech and marking models run on Microsoft Azure in Sweden. No data goes outside the EU/UK and the United States other than through Cloudflare’s standard contractual terms.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Email [email protected]. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the ICO in the UK.

Children

The service is for adults applying for UK settlement. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
